Community Members Committed to Serving You

The Allen County Farmers' Market is an open-air market with three locations - two in Iola and one in Humboldt. Vendors either set up in parking spots in the middle of the barricaded street or parking lot and sell to shoppers. Vision, SNAP, Kansas SFMNP vouchers, participate in the Double Up Food Bucks Program and debit cards are accepted. Numerous cooking demonstrations are shared during the season as well as local talent, musicians and entertainers perform weekly during the season. Community organizations can sign up for either of the 2 free spots to distribute information or raise funds for their cause. A Reading Roundup, sponsored by Allen County Farm Bureau Association, is hosted by Allen County volunteers for children who visit the market with their parents during Thursdays' market.

Funding for this project was provided in part by the Health Forward Foundation.

Red Beard Barbecue is more than just barbecue.  This is a passion, a love, an education, and a shared experience.
We want to take bold flavors from all over the country, use new techniques and apply them to the pit menu.
Our smoked meats are cooked over wood.  And only wood.  No propane.  No electricity.  Just au natural.
Check out our menus and food options that we currently offer!  Thank you so much for all the continued support
Because you’re also supporting an incredible family with two very young kids, both of whom we’re all hoping, grow up to become incredible cooks!  See you soon!

SAFE BASE is the after-school program for the Iola school district. The free program, currently in its 19th year of operation, has served thousands of Allen County children over the years.

This year we are excited to plant and grow flowers for beautiful bouquets! These fresh cut flowers, along with produce from the Children's Garden, will be available for purchase for the first time at the Allen County Farmer's Market in booth space #16. We are excited for this new opportunity for SAFE BASE and, through your purchases at our new booth at the Market, to create sustainability for this much needed nutrition and gardening education project.

Favorite products/vendors/thoughts about Allen County Farmers' Market

I enjoy coming to the Tuesday Market on State Street as it is close to my home to purchase the fresh produce and baked goods. The staff and vendors are friendly and always remember my name. Everyone is willling to help me. I can park close to market and do not have to walk far to the vendors. I especially like that the market is smoke free.
