To all our valued Allen County Farmers’ Market Customers:
The following changes will take effect at Allen County Farmers’ Market Thursday Jefferson Street location until further notice.
As this public health situation evolves on a daily basis, we will respond accordingly to make ALLEN COUNTY FARMERS’ MARKET as safe as possible, while still allowing customers access to essential products from local producers.)
We will be practicing all social distance guidelines at the market.
Customers will enter and exit from the NORTH end of the market (EAST STREET), this will be the only entrance and exit.
ONLY 50 customers will be allowed in the market at one time. While waiting to enter the market all social distancing requirements of 6 feet between each person must be maintained.
Keep your market visit simple and short; buy what you need and do not linger, socialize, or congregate in the market space.
Only essential food producers will participate in the ACFM at this time.
Barricades will be set up to maintain 6 feet between customers and a one-way traffic policy will be indicated at the market.
Chalk boxes will indicate where to wait to maintain 6-foot spacing.
Maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from other shoppers, especially when in line. Market staff will be reminding shoppers to keep their distance.
There will be no sampling or handling of food by customers prior to purchase.
We will continue to offer SNAP processing and matching. Please bring your SNAP card as well as DEBIT AND OR CREDIT CARD to the information tent as usual.
Pets are not allowed at the market at this time.
We ask that customers leave food and beverages for personal consumption at home.
To speed up shopping, we ask that you come to the market with a purchase plan.
We ask you bring multiple small bills if you are paying with cash. This will help reduce us giving change, thereby making it safer for everyone.
DO NOT use your own reusable bags.
We have postponed all market community events, including music, cooking demonstrations.
Market Director and staff will monitor customer density and restrict entry to the market as needed to ensure there is ample room for social distancing.
Market staff will wipe down commonly used surfaces, such as the market information table, EBT redemption devices.
