As the summer heat and rain seem to never end the last few weeks, it appears to be a good time to remind growers/sellers/vendors to be cognizant in checking produce and baked goods prior to selling to customers. Especially in longer markets such as 3-4 hours in length. We have one market that runs from 1-4:30 in the afternoon and with the heat index it can get upwards of 100+ degrees. I encourage everyone to take another look at the regulations in their state or county regarding safety. The K State Department of Regulations is listed on our homepage if you need a refresher.
